Na’sha Laqash is a Community Midwife, birth witness, and lactation professional whose work is grounded in physiological birth, informed choice, and respectful, family-centered support. She provides care rooted in the Midwives Model of Care, integrating observational skill, evidence-based knowledge, cultural awareness, and a calm, steady presence. Her background includes apprenticeship-based clinical training across prenatal, labor, birth, postpartum, and early newborn care within community midwifery settings, as well as experience supporting families in home, birth center, and hospital environments. She is currently progressing through the clinical phases toward the Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credential through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) and the Certified International Midwife (CIM) credential through the International Registry of Midwives (IRM). She practices within the role and limitations of a Traditional Community Midwife.

Her training includes the Breastfeeding Specialist Certification with Lactation Education Resources, completed in July 2025, and the Foundational & Advanced Midwifery Intensive through The Creator’s School of Midwifery in Spring 2025. She has completed Venipuncture and IV Therapy with The Apprentice Academy in November 2025, along with Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation renewal in December 2025. Her earlier education includes the Lactation Educator Certification with Mama Glow Foundation in May 2024, Holistic Midwifery Skills with Birth from the Earth Inc. in October 2023, Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation with Karen Strange in June 2023, and the Birth Assistant Certification with Birth from the Earth Inc. in June 2023. She also holds a Postpartum Doula Certification from February 2022 and a Birth Doula Certification from December 2021, both through the Mama Glow Foundation.

Na’sha’s approach is shaped by continuous learning, clinical mentorship, and a commitment to offering respectful, attentive care that supports families in navigating pregnancy, birth, and postpartum within the scope of traditional community midwifery.
